DREWES Logistics continues its expansion course: New branch in Vietnam

Bremen, February 2025 - The global logistics and forwarding service provider DREWES Logistics, headquartered in Bremen/Germany, is now operating a branch in Vietnam. This brings the number of its own international locations to 13.

Closer to customers in Vietnam
“We have maintained close business relations with Asia for decades. The rapidly growing market in Vietnam has now motivated us to establish our own new branch here,” explains Managing Director Dr. Patric Drewes. “We made a conscious decision not to take over an existing logistics service provider. This is the only way we can quickly and flexibly install our globally proven standards here.”

The new DREWES Vietnam branch, which is based in Ho Chi Minh City, is managed by Hong Do. “We have a high order backlog right from the start. We are benefiting from the rapidly growing economic market in Vietnam,” reports the logistics expert, who is contributing her extensive network of contacts to the new company and also has decades of experience in German freight forwarders.

In the short term, Hong Do will build up her local team to ten employees. The focus is on project cargo and general cargo, both on the import and export side. To this end, DREWES Vietnam offers land, air and sea transport, handling, warehousing and all related logistics services.

Close integration with the DREWES Logistics network
DREWES Vietnam is closely interlinked with the DREWES Logistics headquarters in Bremen and the international network of the entire DREWES Group. “We work closely together, especially on projects in the areas of wind power and plant construction,” says Drewes. ”In this way, we promote close ties between the teams.”

Further international locations planned
For DREWES Logistics, the new opening in Vietnam marks another significant step in its international expansion. “The market for project logistics is proving to be very robust and attractive for us, especially to and from Asia. Due to the high capacity utilisation of our new branch in Vietnam, we will continue to invest in the expansion of our network in Asia as well,” announces Drewes.
