Civil Emergency Preparedness, BALM, Federal Transport Organization, Crisis Logistics
During a visit to Bremen, Christian Hoffmann, President of the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility, presented DREWES Logistics with a certificate recognizing the company’s participation in the Civil Emergency Preparedness of the Federal Republic of Germany.
DREWES Logistics is part of the Federal Transport Organization, a nationwide network of high-performing transport and logistics companies. The organization aims to help secure essential logistics structures and support the supply of the population, the economy, and the armed forces in exceptional crisis situations.
During his visit to the Bremen site, BALM President Christian Hoffmann presented the certificate to Dr.-Ing. Patric Drewes, Managing Director of DREWES Logistics. The discussion focused on key aspects of crisis logistics, including the safeguarding of logistics processes in crisis situations, sea transport, and intermodal interfaces in port hinterland traffic.
Christian Hoffmann also gained comprehensive insights into the operational processes of DREWES Logistics at the Port of Bremen. The company specializes in global forwarding and project logistics solutions, with particular expertise in the shipment of bulk goods and break-bulk cargo as well as multimodal project logistics, including heavy-lift and oversized transports.
The recognition highlights the importance of reliable logistics partners for stable supply security in Germany. For DREWES Logistics, it is both a confirmation and an incentive to contribute its expertise in sensitive and challenging situations.
“Especially in times of crisis, resilient logistics structures, experience, and reliable partnerships are essential,” says Dr.-Ing. Patric Drewes. “We are pleased to receive this recognition from BALM and see our participation in the Federal Transport Organization as an important contribution to civil emergency preparedness.”
As part of the visit, further discussions were agreed upon to deepen cooperation in the field of crisis logistics.
